Nutrition tracker and coach for iPhone
Know what you ate.
Know what to eat next.
Log a whole day in one sentence. See the protein, fiber and calories you have left, and get a plain next step for your next meal.
Free at launch. iPhone, in the United States.
How it works
No spreadsheets, no weighing every bite. Three steps, a few seconds each.
-
Say what you ate
Type "two eggs, toast and a latte for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch", take a photo, or say it out loud. Or search and scan barcodes.
-
Check and save
The app splits it into meals, matches real foods and estimates amounts. Fix anything, then log it all in one tap.
-
See what's next
Your day updates: what's left of your protein, fiber and calories, and a suggestion for your next meal.
Everything you need, nothing you don't
Built around the questions people actually ask: what did I eat, how am I doing, and what should I eat next?
Know what's left, not just what's gone
After every meal, the coach card says how much protein, fiber and calories you still have for the day, and how your last meal fit.
- Next-meal ideas from foods you already eat
- Respects your diet and the allergies you set
- A look back at your day in the evening
Protein, carbs, fat and fiber on every result
Pick the right food the first time. Every search result shows its macros next to the calories, for the amount you're about to log.
- Foods from USDA FoodData Central, and Open Food Facts for packaged foods
- Barcode scanning for packaged foods
- Your recent foods are one tap away
See the real direction
Weigh in when you like. A smoothed trend line irons out day-to-day water swings and shows your change per week.
- Optional goal weight
- Optional weekly calorie adjustments from your actual trend
- Pounds or kilograms
And the rest of the toolkit
Targets you can understand
Calories and macros from your stats and goal, with the math shown. Prefer your own numbers? Set them.
Weekly insights
How your week went against your targets, which days you hit them, and which nutrients ran low.
Vitamins and minerals
Key nutrients like iron, calcium, vitamin D and potassium, with the foods that supplied them.
Your recipes
Build a recipe once from its ingredients, then log it by the serving. Nutrition is worked out for you.
Six meal slots
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and three snacks, so a mid-morning coffee doesn't get lost in "snacks".
Fix it fast
Change an amount, move a food to another meal, or undo a log in a tap. Report a missing food right from search.

Questions
Is Nutrition Coach free?
Yes. The app is free at launch.
Do I have to weigh every food?
No. Describe what you ate in your own words, take a photo or say it out loud, and the app estimates the amounts. You can change any amount before you save it.
How are my calorie and macro targets set?
From your age, height, weight, sex, activity and goal, using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. The app shows how each number was worked out, and you can set your own instead. If you log your weight, it can suggest an adjustment once a week.
What happens to my photos and voice recordings?
They are used once to read what you ate and are not stored. The app asks before using AI for the first time, and you can turn AI food logging off in Profile.
Is this medical advice?
No. Nutrition Coach gives general nutrition guidance from your logs. For medical conditions, pregnancy or an eating disorder, talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian.
Which phones does it work on?
iPhone, in the United States at launch.
